We invite you to come together as a campus community to share your gratitude for and remembrances of the life of Fr. Joseph McGowan, S.J., who served Seattle University for 25 years from 1974to1999, and left a lasting legacy across campus and throughout the Archdiocese of Seattle. Joseph, who was 80, died from cancer and complications of COVID-19 on Dec. 23 at the Sacred Heart Jesuit Center in Los Gatos, CA. He was a Jesuit for 59 years. We will host an online serviceon Thursday, Jan. 21 at 5 p.m.,as a time to gather in prayer and in celebration of Fr. McGowan’s lasting legacy at our university. Immediately following, join us for avirtual reception at 6:15 p.m. hosted by the Seattle University Alumni Association.This will be a time to be in community to share our stories and gratitude for Joseph.
