What? God delivers all to disobedience??? Well, God, after all, did put the snake in Eden. There is no redemption without sin.

Those of us who are worried about empty churches and grown children who are at best Christmas and/or Easter Catholics often are tempted to think that the secular world will win out. But we need to keep our faith. People need to stray and have a new conversion to find God’s mercy. If we really believe that the secular world is a dead-end, we need to keep our communities vigorous and welcoming for all those who need to come in and find God’s love.
